So, here's my first offering:
It's just a bit of dabbling in Photoshop, testing out the basics as well as some filters. The idea was to find a photo on the internet that was not perfect in terms of levels and make the necessary adjustments, then get a bit creative.
The original picture came from
Emil's Lost & Found archive. Here is what I came up with:
